1/24 - Upcoming shows for Baltimore, MD and Endicott, NY in March and April have been added to the live page. A few more will confirm soon as well. In other news, all three of us have been very busy outside of Dysrhythmia recently.. Jeff has a new band called Zevious which you can find out more about here. Colin has another new band which features the amazing Mick Barr and is yet to be named, but they'll be releasing something later this year that is sure to be intense. I (Kevin) just finished up recording my guitar tracks for the upcoming Jarboe solo album (which Colin is recording here at the Menegroth studio in Queens). I've also started recording a solo guitar record which will be entirely acoustic. I'm hoping to have this out sometime later in the year and also play some shows/tour as well. In Dysrhythmia news, we're about a little more than half-way through writing the next record. Depending on long the last few songs take to write we could be back in the studio again by summer. Onward and upward.
 
12/28 - We'll be playing at the Cake Shop on 152 Ludlow St. in NYC on Jan. 10 w/ Stay Fucked, We Be the Echo, and The Future. The fun starts at 8pm.
 
11/2 - Got a show coming up on Nov. 13 @ Europa in Brooklyn, NY. Details on the live page. 4 new songs will be performed!
 
8/12 - Wow, it's been awhile since I've updated this thing... seems everyone just goes to myspace these days to get the latest news, but for those that don't: Our new split CD with Rothko titled 'Fractures' comes out August 28th on Acerbic Noise Developement Records. You can pre-order it here [along with the new shirt design as well] as well as listen to a clip of our track. We've been spending the summer writing for the next record. So far 3 songs are completed and 2 others are started. We'll begin playing out again this Fall. A brief tour is in the works for the NY/OH/MI-area Oct 5-13. A more extensive tour probably won't happen until the Winter.
 
3/27 - All the tour dates are up. Of course, they are subject to change at any time so keep an eye here for any updates/changes, etc.

2/7 - Hey all, lots of news! First: currently in the works is a new split CD [and hopefully LP] with UK-based meditative ambient/drone masters Rothko. Our side will be a 13+ minute reworking of a very old track of ours called "Earthquake" [originally released on our first album 'Contradiction']. We are aiming at making this the heaviest Dysrhythmia recording yet. Our friends at Acerbic Noise Development will be putting this out for us and we are aiming for an August release.

Also being mapped out is an Eastern half US tour with Psyopus, and Behold... the Arctopus running from late March thru April. It will be complete madness. Dates will be posted as they are confirmed. Apologies in advance to our friends on the Westside we can't see this time but we should be back later this year.

In the meantime, we have two great NY shows coming up next month: March 3 @ RavensDen in Ridgewood Queens as part of the Frequencies Exhibition and March 6 @ Europa w/ Red Sparowes in Brooklyn. Check the live page for full info.

9/18 - Hey everyone, I guess it's been some time since we've had an update. I've posted some recent online reviews of the new record here. I should get around to scanning some of the print magazine reviews shortly. We'll have a few shows coming up in early Novemeber in Philadelphia and NYC [as part of CMJ Music Fest], details soon... Other than that, we will begin the writing process for the next record this fall and there is even a chance of a new split CD/LP on the horizon, and DVD. Also, apparently the much-delayed vinyl version of Barriers and Passages should be out soon via Eyes of Sound Records.
 
7/4 - We have returned from tour with Behold... the Arctopus, and Yakuza. You can read a short tour journal about it here. Two new interviews have been posted. Next up is our two week tour with The Dillinger Escape Plan. Check out the live page for details.

5/2 - The new album "Barriers and Passages" is out today in the U.S.! May 9 is the date for the rest of the world. Go buy it. Also, we will be having two new t-shirt designs for the upcoming tour and apparently there will be a vinyl release of "Barriers and Passages" courtesy of Eyes of Sound Records in England. 2/14 - Take a look at our upcoming shows on the live page. We'll be in Boston, NYC, and possibly New Haven, CT in March. A month-long tour across the US into the Northwest and back from May 25 thru June 26 is being booked now. We will be on the road with Yakuza, and Behold... the Arctopus, both incredible bands. This should be an amazing night of music. Dates will be coming in over the next few weeks. Check back often for updates.

2/4 - Mastering was completed a few days ago by Alan Douches at West West Side. We attended the session and everything sounds superb. Expect a May 2 release date for Barriers and Passages with many shows and a full US tour to follow.
 
1/10 - I've uploaded a three minute clip of us taken with my digital camera on the final night of mixing last month. It's not the most exciting clip [har har] but if you wanna see us both overcaffinated and borderline-zombiefied, then take a look. Please allow one to two minutes [those with high speed connections] for the clip to download.

12/3 - Got back from tour just in time for the holidays and went almost directly into the studio to beginning recording the new album. Right now we're 3 days into it and everything is going, and sounding, superb.. and heavy! Basic tracks for the 10 songs are done and now we go into the overdub process and then mixing. Our friend Ryan Kozar has already completed the design and layout for the record and it looks beautiful. Here is the full track listing for Barriers and Passages:

8/23 - Dysrhythmia will be entering BC Studios in Brooklyn, NY with engineer Martin Bisi in early Dec. to record our 4th, as-of-yet untitled, record. Martin's done albums by some of our favorite artists including Swans, Sonic Youth, Sonny Sharrock, Brian Eno, US Maple, etc. and has a nice 24 track analog setup. 10 songs will be featured totalling around 35 minutes. We've recently demoed all the new tunes at the Paincave with Colin engineering and plan to post one up on here in the next few weeks to give you all a taste of what's to come.
 
7/4 - Translation Loss Records will be re-issuing our previously self-released [and currently unavailable] second record No Interference this Fall, in it's original digi-pak form. The re-issue will contain 20 minutes worth of bonus live material as well, taken from a show in 2001.

4/27 - Tour is over and a great time was had by all. Thank you to Jucifer and all the other bands that played with us this time out. I may even get around to posting some pics of the trip on the site at some point soon. Looking ahead, we'll be doing a few shows next month in Philadelphia May 10 at The First Unitarian Church and May 28 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Clifton Heights, PA. After that we will be taking the summer off from live shows to complete writing for the next Dysrhythmia record. 3/3 - Our March 17 show @ Great Scotts in Allston, MA has been cancelled...Why? Apparently the bar owner feared the show would be "too violent"!? Hopefully something else in the area will turn up. In more cancellation news.. April 12 in Lexington, KY has been cancelled as well. A new show will be announced soon. Stay tuned.

2/3 - Word is we'll be out all of April with Jucifer, mostly in the Midwest and Northern Midwest regions. However, they take lots of off days so we'll be playing a bunch of our own shows as well. We are also booking a 4 day trip with our friends in Rosetta for March 17-20. Dates should start coming in soon. In other news, we are still in writing-mode for the next record. Six songs are finished and a few more are started. There are hopes to go into the studio late this year with an early 2006 release date in mind.

12/11 - Thank you to Isis, These Arms Are Snakes, and crew, as it was an absolute pleasure to be part of their tour. The plan is to now take most of the Winter off to continue writing, then do a much more extensive tour in the Spring...so we'll get to you folks left of the East Coast soon enough.

11/30 - This Saturday's Dec. 4th show in Binghamton, NY has been moved from Black Azul Studios to a house show at 35 Griswold St. in Binghamton.... It's sure to be a "cosy" one.

In other news, there will be a limited edition live CD coming out next month via Relapse of our full set from the Contamination Festival back in January 2003. The sound quality is excellent and the packaging looks very sharp as well. We'll have these for sale at our upcoming shows. These will not be sold in stores, they will only be available through us and Relapse mailorder.
 
10/12 - We will be doing a week of dates with ISIS, and These Arms Are Snakes on the East Coast starting Dec. 3. We'll be playing two "warm-up" dates before that. Check out the details here. More to come soon.
 

10/11 - So, it looks like we'll be playing out a bit sooner than we originally planned... Exciting tour announcement coming in the next few days. I've also added a current picture of us. Aren't we a lovely bunch?
 

9/24 - Yes, I suppose we are long overdue for a news update. A lot has transpired in the past few months. First and foremost, bassist Clayton Ingerson has left the band. I wish to stress that there are no hard feelings and we really wish him the best. To be honest, this did not come as much of a surprise as we could see we were changing very much as people and moving in opposite directions. Needless to say, this raised some doubt as to whether the band could or should continue... I am however delighted to say that we are forging ahead with bassist Colin Marston in his place. Some of you may know Colin from his own band Behold... the Arctopus [as well as a collaborator with me (Kevin) in our ambient guitar duo Byla, and one half of Crucial Blast Records noise-collage architects Infidel?/Castro!] and are aware of his awesome skills and musical creativity. He is no stranger to Dysrhythmia as we have been close friends ever since one of his old bands played together with us back in 1999 [Colin even sat in as an observer on the entire recording process of our last record 'Pretest']. Currently we are hard at work on new material, which is progressing very nicely, and look to begin performing live again by winter. Oh yeah, and besides debuting many new tunes, also anticipate hearing some old, long-neglected ones we look to dust off as well!

4/6 - We are back from tour, albeit two days earlier than expected. We would like to apologize to those of you in Richmond, VA and Washington, D.C. for not being able to make the final two shows of tour. We had a rough week coming back from California and things don't always go as planned on the road. We will make it up to you soon (possibly in early June). Tour was amazing otherwise. Thanks to High on Fire, Zeke and all the other bands we played with and especially all of you who came out, gave us places to stay, and made us feel at home wherever we were.

We have two Philadelphia shows this month (April 17 and April 23). We will be debuting new songs. Also, a short tour of the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast is coming together for late May/early June. See the live page for details.
 
3/21 - The last two shows of tour have been confirmed. They will be April 5 in Richmond, VA @ Nanci Raygun, and April 6 in Washington D.C. @ Warehouse Next Door. Also, the Dysrhythmia forum is back up and running.
 
3/5 - The message board is down, our provider had to switch hosts. Hopefully it will be up again soon... New dates have been added to the end of tour. A few more are still to be confirmed. The Relapse Contamination Fest 2003 double DVD is out now. It features two live Dysrhythmia songs from our set ("My Relationship"/"Annihilation I").

2/18 - Thanks to everyone who came out and saw us on this past tour and to Clutch, Nebula, Mastodon and crew for an awesome time! Next up is a five week tour across the country beginning March 8 in Riverdale Park, MD. Two of those weeks we will be with High on Fire and Zeke [mainly Southwest and West coast dates]. In other news, Dysrhythmia has made a music video for the song "My Relationship". Shot live at The Union in Athens, OH a few months back and directed by Justin Zangerle, look for it to be aired on various music channels soon. We'll have a link to it online shortly as well!

Speaking of videos... the Relapse Contamination Festival 2003 double DVD should hopefully be out soon. This DVD features 2 songs by us. It looks and sounds fantastic. Also included are sets by Neurosis, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon, High on Fire, Burnt by the Sun and many more!

12/16 - Dysrhythmia is taking the next couple months off from shows to begin writing the follow-up to Pretest. At this time our next show won't be until Feb 7 when we'll be @ ABC No Rio in NYC w/ Sulaco and Behold... the Arctopus. A national tour will follow in March and into April. Rumor has it in the midst of that tour we will be doing two weeks with High on Fire and Zeke. Keep an eye here for tour dates to be announced.

12/05 - Hello! Welcome to the new site. It's still under a lot of construction as we switch things over and make all the necessary updates. Please keep checking back for additional content to be added. Don't forget we have our first Philly show in 7 months this coming Fri. Dec 12 @ the First Unitarian Church with Khanate, Pelican, and Welcome the Plague Year. Show starts at 9pm. The next night, Dec. 13, we will be in NYC at the Knitting Factory [Tap Room] once again with Pelican, as well as Unearthly Trance and Behold... the Arctopus. It's an early show at 5pm.
